5 Minute Makeup

A 5 Minute Makeup Routine

If you are like me, you probably leave everything to the last minute and are rushing out the door in the mornings. It doesn’t matter how prepared or organized I am. I decided to analyze my mornings, I realized I needed to get more efficient across the boards, including my makeup application. Now that said, I love taking my time and feeling gorgeous throughout the whole process but sometimes, I just have to get in and get out the door. So, for days that I am short on time, I developed a makeup look that literally takes me 5 minutes! (Yes, I timed it!) Here is a simple, easy, and quick makeup look to get you looking good and out the door!

Step 1: Foundation

I start with my foundation right off the bat. No primer, just moisturize and go! I am lucky enough to have discovered Demure Mineral Foundation and when I tell you that it has saved my life, I mean it! All I have to do is tap some out on the lid, swirl my brush around, tap the excess and apply!

Mineral makeup has really changed the way I do my makeup. Liquid foundation just takes me too long, and it can be heavy. With the mineral makeup, you can just brush it on, and it feels airy. Plus you can build in your coverage!

Step 2: Blush

This step is important to make sure that you give your face a little depth. Our faces naturally have couture and when we apply one color to our entire face, we can look pretty 2 dimensional. Adding a quick swipe of blush to your cheeks will give you a healthy glow that will add a little color back into your face.

Step 3: Eyebrows

This step is only if you feel the need to fill in your eyebrows a little. You will probably have to practice a bit to get this step down but when you have it down, you’ll be able to do it in a minute or two! All you have to do is use an eye shadow that’s closest to your eyebrow color or you can use an eyebrow pencil. If you are going to use an eyeshadow, just use an angled brush to very gently fill in the ends of your eyebrows. If you are using a pencil, again, just use very gentle strokes to fill in your eyebrows.

Step 4: Eyelashes!

The last step is eyelashes. I like to take an eyelash curler to give my eyelashes a little bit of volume before I apply my mascara. I think mascara really completes any look that you are trying to do. Sometimes I get lazy and a little mascara is all I do! This is one of the places where I really want a good product. I love to use Demure black Mineral Mascara. It is perfect for my longer eyelashes. Not too heavy. They also have an HD Mascara with a thicker formula for anyone looking to get an extra lift!

There you have it! A 4 step, 5-minute makeup routine that will have you out the door and, on your way, to conquer your day!
